About Us

Lansing Violence Intervention Program (LVIP) is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing violence, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for youth through mentorship, education, intervention, and community engagement. Our work focuses on empowering individuals, restoring hope, and building safer communities through prevention, advocacy, and positive youth development.

Our Mission

To break the cycle of violence through immediate intervention, expert crisis advocacy, and evidence-based support services. We provide youth intervention, violence prevention, mentorship, conflict resolution training, life-skills development, and family support services for individuals and communities impacted by violence.

Why Our Program

Unlike traditional consulting organizations, our team lives, works, and serves directly within the communities we support. We do not view violence through statistics alone—we understand the neighborhood dynamics, peer influences, trauma exposure, and environmental challenges that shape behavior and decision-making.

Through our community-based approach, we provide practical, culturally relevant solutions that connect youth and families with trusted mentors, intervention specialists, and support networks. By partnering with LVIP, schools, organizations, and community stakeholders gain more than a program—they gain a dedicated violence prevention partner and a direct bridge to community-level intervention and long-term positive outcomes.
